My Name is Cupid

Lgp74415

Hello
You know who I am
Little Cherub with the dangerous mischievous gaze
If you have not been hit by a quiver of mine yet
Just wait
A silly thing to want and not get
I impale you with infatuation
Strong and new
The idea of that love will run you through
When it's been long enough
I'll let you see the truth
And when the wound still hasn't healed
I cast you again
Head over heels
This time your love will be true
You will fall in love with their personality
You'll have a crush on their words
And maybe if you're lucky
And I'm feeling nice
They may just have the looks of a God
My name is Cupid
You know who I am
And I've been told I best Apollo with my impeccable aim
I play a terrible and lovely game
My name is Cupid

  • Fay Slimm.

Ah - loud applause for this flowing verse on that rascal Cupid and what he achieves - - love the form and the style and thanks for sharing.
