Light of Dawn (A perspective)

J.D. Treick

As newborn daylight places it's golden caress upon my face,

I feel it's warmth.

A breeze gently as the day begins,

Washing away the thoughts of yesterday.

It's important to remember that all things are on borrowed time.

Life.

Love.

Even the Sun itself will one day have it's end.

Happiness is not only about the reward, but also the journey.

It's the ride throughout our days that truly brings us closer to that inevitable ending to our book.

It's so easy to be lost in pages and the words, which can sometimes be blurred.

So I shall sit here, and observe yet another day.

I shall sit here and await what fate has brought for me.

I shall sit here, as entropic mechanisms bring me closer to greater realization.

Not only of myself and my place in the world,

but also of the future.

Beautiful wonders abound en masse.

That is all we can do.

Love the poem. I have been on to more interested in results rather than process. We miss a lot of life that way.
