Mannequin Words

ElenaGrace

We've donned our suits and gowns
Securing masks, meticulously crafted,
upon our faces
These pages being our ballroom
where words waltz in heads
Some tap my shoulder
to offer me a dance
But after a few steps I can tell
I'm forcing stiff joints to bend and carry me
So I'll keep on spinning
through the nights and the days
Until I find a life among the mannequins
that can perfectly relate myself to you

I feel the romance of these well-crafted lines and love the comparison to the mannequin world . An engaging read Elena.
