Gravity

Lex

To me, you're the moon's gravitational pull.
I'm the ocean waves.
You're a small force with strong effects.
I'm deep, engulfing, and directionless.

You pull me into shore, and I've found a place to be.

I feel so infatuated until I'm yanked back seconds later.
My euphoria is left at the shore, making me ache to go back.
I savor and crave those moments I crashed into your bliss.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I feel like this poem doesn't express my feelings enough. I long to be with him and I have such strong feelings for him, but it can never be. He treats me badly but I still love him (very pathetic, I know). Is there any way I can express that better? Or any other general critiques?

Hey you are all good. I understand, I was like that too once. Keep writing, you're good at it. Plus helps some people to express these hidden emotions with others.
