Fits tune: Sine Nomine

('For all the saints')

Psalm 139 v. 14 - 24

********

1. O sing unto God now a song of praise

With tuneful melodies His name upraise

He Lord of Lords e'en unto endless days

Alleluia! Alleluia!

2. I will praise you, for I made fearfully

Am, and too wonderfully made I be

Marvellous your works, O my God, I see

Alleluia! Alleluia!

3. These things my soul it does know true, right well

All my substance, my being you did tell

Before my appointed lots they fell

Alleluia! Alleluia!

4. And all my parts, when yet I as unborn

You wrote them in your book, did me adorn

Desiring I never from you be torn

Alleluia! Alleluia!

5. How precious too are your thoughts unto me

O God, how great the sum of them sure be

More than sand's grains if I inventory

Alleluia! Allelluia!

6. When I awake, I still then am with you

You will me help, protect from wicked too

Render to them their recompence, their due

Alleluia! Alleluia!

7. Search me, O God, and here my heart do know

And too my thoughts, if wicked ways do show

Lead me, [in] way everlasting, grace bestow

Alleluia! Alleluia!
