Woods On Fire (+2)

Kurt Philip Behm

Consistent in my thoughts,

honest with my emotions

I walked a familiar path,

—as I set the woods on fire

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2017)

Exposed

Excuses,

hide within my dark prejudice

Exposed,

with every light you shine

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2017)

Out Of Time

Born to the same words as you,

the feelings were my own

Language shared, intention spared,

a vision fully grown

Our words converse, in separate verse,

your prose unto my rhyme

To search that darkest hidden place,

two footsteps out of time

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2017)

Something intriguing and unsettling about the first one, Kurt, but It is appealing on some level. Thanks for sharing it.

I can certainly relate to when my prejudices are exposed. Any fires you set are for enlightenment.
