It's always my fault

Fluatist

Why did I like you?
I wasted my time talking to you,
I wasted my time getting to know you,
yet you didn't want to know me.
I cared about you,
yet you didn't care about me,
shouldn't I have seen that?
Sadly I didn't, I cared too much about you to realize.
I made a fool of myself,
that was my fault, not yours,
it's all my fault anyways,
my fault for liking you, caring for you, dreaming about you, and all the other things you can think about.
Everything is my fault.

Ha ha , no you can't claim all as your fault . Save some for the rest of us . And if you are looking for something special and I told you I hid it under a rock wouldn't you look under every rock until you found it . I started writing poetry when I was your age some 53 years ago . Don't become discouraged .

Head over heals to reality. Get up, dust yourself off and take heed of the lesson learned. Well thought out and written.

I feel like this a lot especially when it comes to guys because then I feel it's me if they aren't exactly good boyfriends and that's just not true. You can only be you, if they wish to see that and love you for it then there you go but if they choose to ignore it then they just lost the chance to have someone really amazing in their life. And that's their fault.
