Can you escape your own intelligence,
can you cross that final line
Can you release your own magnificence,
starting over, redefined
Can you see beyond your vision,
can you wish beyond your dreams
Can you think beyond your knowing,
—can you love beyond the gleam

Heaven's Thunder
Eric never asked a question,
Stevie couldn’t answer
As hearts aspire, their stage on fire,
the Garden’s roof asunder
One lick and then another,
with Clapton our new mother
As Winwood melts a father’s keys,
—to hell with heaven’s thunder

To me, this describes beautifully the journey from ego to self, the difficult journey we must all eventually undertake. Well done, Kurt!
Well read. Thanks, Louis!

Thanks for the read, the second still puzzling, but great food for thought.
Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood have been together in various bands
for over 50 years. They are both the best at what they do, and seem to
finish each others musical sentences.
Together—at Madison Square Garden—they gave a concert for the ages.
