Binds of Love

sar630

These binds about me,

Torment me not.

They wind around me,

Like vines, surround me,

Ne'er do I wish them cut.

These binds about me

Are binds of love.

These chains that hold me;

Never release me.

I wish never to be free

From these binds of love.

They do not strangle,

But sweetly embrace.

They lay on my skin

As delicate lace.

I ask not for freedom

From these binds of love;

So pure...

...So true...

...A gift from above.

    It seems we have different perspectives on love... Very nice poem

  • sar630

    This poem is about the bond that true love creates. It is a selfless love. Although the pair are bound to each other and captivated, they wouldn't have it any other way. They don't feel trapped by the relationship because they both genuinely appreciate the love that the other gives and returns it.
