Future Now Past (+2)

Kurt Philip Behm

I offered you the moon and stars,

you took the sun instead

Your darkness preyed, all love waylaid,

my dreams and wishes dead

Beyond all hope, with stolen light,

my fear you then unmasked

And pulled a curtain across my heart,

—the future now my past

Falsehoods You Endear

My world is different, my world is foreign,

your words do then remind

My vision captive, my soul unpledged,

the music solely mine

Never lonely, but then alone,

my solitude you fear

As strangers swarm around your doubt,

whose falsehoods you endear

Unto End

True to the Muse, the words instill,

each one a trusted friend

Her voice embedded in my soul,

—beginning unto end
