Forgive Me..

The Invisible

That look falls upon my face

Believing that things will fall in place

No longer doubting your ability to save me

Can’t hope you’ll never see

I tend to screw up good things I got

Stupidly trying to pick little things so we fought

Granted I never wish it so

Hopefully you will never know

Hiding behind a person I once knew

Getting everything but blue

It’s a mystery as to why I act this way

But remember I have to give you the time of day

Which when it comes don’t be surprised if I run

A habit that can’t be undone

My past wasn’t all that great

Some think it’s not too late

Yet the damage is done when it comes to my heart

I put walls so no one can again break it apart.

Us girls got to stick together! 😀 Granted I wish it was for something more positive than a broken heart but I'm glad you could connect with it. That's why I decided to publish my poems hoping someone else can relate.
