Familiarity

Sada_bear

He told me he loves me as he caressed my cheek and my face lit up by the fire. It was all a joke to him. A game..He told me what we had was the purest of loves..he was a man of many masks. One was a gentle yet caring lover two was a successful hard-working man 3 was the face of a man who tells no lies. He would smile that gentle smile that warmed my heart little did I know he would show that same exact smile to her. She was a damsel in distress who needed saving and he was her knight in armor. He wanted to be important to someone other than I. Dependence not love was what they had. But neverless my jealousy consumed me as I turned green with envy. I always yearned for his gentle touch and she knew it all to well.
