Lessons

SheWasTheSun

Silent screams can kill a man

There is nothing more useless than a plan

A hurting heart won’t heal itself

Some memories belong on a shelf

We place ourselves inside of time

Not all poems have to rhyme

The prettiest thing you can be is smart

The hardest moment is always the start

The middle is always scary too

And the end is when something begins anew

Nothing is real and everything matters

Moments are stolen, memories gathered

The ticking of clocks is a boldfaced lie

All of time itself is carried in your eyes

Talent disguises itself as fear

There is no better place than here

If you don’t want to do it, you probably should

If you’re told not to do it, that means you could

I could write you a book of what I have learned

But every lesson of mine has been proudly earned

They do not come free, but they are worth every penny

Don’t bother preparing, lesson one is: you’re never ready

Wow! Deep! But very clever. I love the last 3 'verses' the most.
