A Solitary Soul

J. Allen Hewitt

A Solitary Soul
J. Allen Hewitt

Looking back...where is the light?
A wasting away of memories, a remembrance gone,
am I fading?

Looking out...where is the door?
A long time of nothing, a long time with no one,
am I lost?

Looking in...where is the window?
A dark room with no walls, yet I am imprisoned within,
am I bound?

Looking forward...where is the road?
A trail leading nowhere, far and wide wading through dead space,
am I blocked?

No one,
nowhere,
no way...

I am alone.
