The reunion.

camille

You are the waters that gently meander.
Alas I am the tsunami!
Your calm and sheltered bay in contrast and conflict with my deep water storm.
As you drift in sundrenched shallows I am lost in the distance....
Gasping for air in the lurching, hostile depths.
Each breath ragged and gasping... perhaps the last...
Your shoreline is in easy reach yet mine is out of sight.
From your lips the soft and soothing notes of a ballad fall...
From mine the deafening cacophony of broken strings..
Of the jaded and unloved piano...
Tuneless and frenzied...chaotic in its performance.
Your walk one of ease and unhurried curiosity.
Your senses wide open.. hungry for each new experience.
While I stand.. small figure... overwhelmed at the mountain summit...
Lost in a world of anger, pain and distrust.
Of angst and poisoned thought.
The climb ahead arduous and steeped in danger.
My soul calling.. calling.... imploring.....
Drifting in the ether world...stubbornly loyal..
Softly chiding dialogue... never far away.
Patiently awaiting the beautiful reunion of body mind and soul.
