I Dare You

Edthepoet

I heard that you're
A bad girl
I heard you shot the gun
I heard you took his diamonds
And now you're on the run

In this city lives a breed of people
They'll leave you to bleed out
If you ever cross them
Be sure not to shout it out

One to many whiskies
Those red lips of yours get loose
There are two ways of hanging
If I were you, I'd untie that noose

Tattoos dressed in leather
Curves to strike a match
Rock and roll on the jukebox
But I'm not one to dance

Your poker face is golden
But my slight of hand is ice
I'm dealing from the bottom
And you're running out of time

I dare you to come closer
I dare you to walk away
I dare you to make your move
Before I shoot away your pain.
