Positive Demise

Restingflix

Here I am standing tall. Faceless and alone.
A broken man, like an old tin can, abandoned to my zone.

An oblique future, a concave past
A present yet un-wrapped
Tick tock goes the clock. An imminent shock,
My motivation sapped!

Limitations mapped!
Reservations tapped!

In the race of my life, Pain and strife,
Notification confirmation that ive surely been lapped!

The essence of my humanity, dissected, laid to bare,
The realisation of degradation in my soul I now declare,
The pessimist ascended, life drained with all love ended,
A broken heart, left un attended
Wreaking havoc to my despair.

A foggy future, a forgetable past
A present that eludes
The clock tick tocks and never stops,
Rendering me bemused.

Here I am now an ageing man, lied to and deceived,
My accusers forever dwell in the shadows,
Making sure im not believed.

They weave their webs like restless spiders, convincing of false glories,
The concept of any honesty, ever absent from their stories.

Frequented resilience personified.
A determined mind un - swerving,
My persecution un- necessary
Their reckless intent is un - nerving

What do I do? When will it end?
Where do I go from here?
With no where to turn, what have I learned?
Loyalties dis-appear!

Wheather a father or a brother
My own man or someone's lover
My identity still remains

Wheather its ticking or tocking
Lifes clock has no stopping
Take heed of it's power and pain.

This oddysey this life is continued for now
Even with anger current sadness brings,

I will always try to remember,
from September to November
My heart is a bird that just wants to sing!

  • Comment from author about the poem: How i feel now after a heart attack a cheating partner and losing everything basically. I've never done this before but was compelled by instinct to try. I don't know anything about poetry so it's probably not much good but it's me. Thanks for reading x
