Domestic Terrorism

Wackyheartache4

They were Born on our soil
And taught in our schools
For our government, they toil
Till they say "fuck the rules"
Something snaps inside the mind
Compassion is replaced with hate
With a fateful act, create divide
Send us running to hell's gates
Gleefully, They load their mags
Laugh and cock their guns
Burn the institution to slag
Random violent fun
It happened at columbine
Chicago was blown away
Fought not for the divine
They had no prayer to say
What can push a man to this extreme?
Do they feel as though they're wrong?
Blood and violence fill their dreams
Think you're safe? DEAD WRONG!

One of the best poems I've read lately. Very sad though. We are not safe, nowhere.

A sad but true commentary, well expressed. Thanks for sharing, Wacky

  • Alex Arnot

Very relevant message, one that isn't driven in nearly enough!
