This is a story, I'm not sure how it will end, my daughter asked "couldn't you do a funny rhyme instead, does all your writing have be about an emotional state."
Here I go! This is for you both
A favourite that I'm sure you know
Stick man! Oh Stick man
Why did he hide there?
Did he not see me
With the stick munching pair?
If only he'd stayed in his family tree
I'd not have to write his obituary
Stick man! Oh Stick man
He was a loving stick
Not afraid to bend yet still be stiff
Offer he's spear leaf to any friends
Through all kinds of weather
He'd always make it home
Until that day they found
Him out on a stroll!
If only I'd known it was you from the start
I wouldn't have told them they can do what they want.
They understand some sticks are friends
This is truly my fault for not checking in the first place.
Oh Stick man! Oh Stick man
I'm sorry my old friend
That it had to end
Being ripped to shreds
Once they pull you apart
Too tired playing chase
It was then that I noticed! hang on there is..... sorry, there was, only one stick that could be so strong.
By this time they were both jumping around, one playing with your head in its mouth, the other soon smiling away, bits spread all over the place.
Stick man! Oh Stick man
I do thank you my friend
Never giving up till the very end
After sending my blessing
Knowing it was you
My pair of munchers were
So awesomely chilled
So you can rest a bit easier
Knowing my arms didn't hurt
I've informed the family
You'll not be home for dessert.
The end
