Distant memories of a friend

fayeisabee1

You smile, as you glance in my eyes
A friend a support a friend I called mine
The candy floss hands and hide and seek id win
But the real life hit with an unexpected spin
The happiness left and the sorrow took over
We stopped talking, I didn't stay over
The funny stories turned to distant memories
as you scream we aren't as close as we use to be.
I tried
You didn't
I swam
You didn't
You Fell for a drama that wasn't real
as your brain became ill from the lack of meals
Oh how I miss the shoulder I cried on but growing up is having no one to rely on.
U died. I didn't.

Beautifully expressed, great writing. Love the "I tried you didn't, I swam you didn't" culminating in the "U died. I didn't".
