Who I was!

Mello

Where there is a right there is no wrong,
I always thought we were so strong,
Yet we have to brace the storm,
the norms to be confirmed,
But Beyond this body that you see,
There's so much more to me,
I feel best when my soul is free,
They said this is the way,
that I need to reform,
If I continue to stray,
I'm going to start up a storm,
Wear this, drive that, like this, not that,
Don't dare lose track or you will fall way back,
yet if my Lord loves me,
and for that I know I'm free,
I know if I'm real and it's not a disguise,
You'll love who I am if only you opened your eyes,
I insist that you see, I'm not
a mystery,

It's who I wish to be, this is me

It's what's truly within,
Look through the Hajib and skin,
that's Who I was,

now her father feels all alone,
deep in his heart he knows Allah has called her home,
all he remembers is how her eyes melt his heart,
with tears he doesn't know where to start,
but most of all what we will remember is her smile.
