onepauly

to be within cause and effect

what more could it do but

affect arouse and stimulate

the surrounding circumstances

to change them for the better

when we meditate

on loving all the good

what could it do but

enhance it for the even greater good

which is a greater love for it

that we've started in the first place

You are right it is puzzling, but that is a good thing! I guess if you like something or somebody and think about why you love it, him, her, you may find that there is an even greater underlying love you were not aware of before.
    Does that make sense?

    • onepauly

I guess so. ill have to meditate a little more.

It make sense to me. When one uncover love, it can be thrilling to think that love was there from the beginning but you did not see it. Now it is greater because you brought it to the light so you see it better.

Good choice in using "affect" over "effect" (affect arouse) big difference but ohhhhh, how they sound just the same....great job. I like where this poem places you on the truth continuum.
