Sweet synergy
Deliver me
From myself
I just don't
Have the energy
To listen to these thoughts
Try as I might to ignore
This misplaced remorse
My sub conscience
Makes a conscious choice
To ignore the voice
Of reason
And drowns out my cries for help
With the chaotic noise
Of a narcissists daydream Reciting my every wrong
on a loop
Like a songbird with clipped wings
Stuck on repeat.
Sweet synergy
Deliver me
To new health
Life is temporary
The universe
Merely witnessing
Itself in first person
Marveling at it's own genius
Sweet synergy
Release me
From myself
Let me look
Deep into her eyes
And see a galaxy
That we once created
In another lifetime
So in this one
We could collide.

Really enjoyed this poem!!
Nice one Virago
love it love it and love it. you have certainly left your mark with this one. all is looking over you my friend.
I'm feeling the love Kevin. I had these thoughts running around my mind for a while & they flowed straight out after writing the opening "Sweet synergy, deliver me"
Ed, you do have the gift!
Thank you Fred, We all have it!
I love the mysticism in this fine poem. It resonates with me. Words of an old soul! Very well expressed write, Ed.
Thank you Louis, I'm glad you found this well expressed. I'm guilty of sometimes confusing the subject matter I'm trying express..but that can sometimes make for a more fun read in my opinion :).
