a moment at the end

naomiix

Flash!

a strike in the sky

Bang!

i urge thee to die

screams pierce my ears all around

lights... as I fall to the ground

quick, unsure where to go

panic panic, how shall I know

if I will live or if die

and whether or not I should even try

why has the world come down to this?

bullet shells deciding if I live?

a world of hurt and unfair play

who decides the sides anyway?

if it's God I question why?

god almighty high in the sky

if it's us what shall we do

to rectify what's old and new

He stands there now all guns alight

over me ready for a fight

i have no fight left anymore

bang!

I lie there on the floor

Great poem. A cry from the innocent caught in battles not of their own.
