Security blanket

Security blanket
I've had you for fourteen years
You have seen at my worst
And at my best
You have been there
for all the important moments
My first steps
When I started to talk
My first day of school
All those days kids made fun of me
Boyfriends and best friends
Even middle school graduation

I can hug you
And magically feel better
I take you everywhere
Because you are my protector
You saved me from the monsters
Under my bed
And the nightmares
In my head

My parents say it's time for you to go
But I'm here to let you know
That it will never happen

Security blanket
It will be me and you together till the end
