What is love?

xd_Blade

Sorry for the click-bait title,

Because honestly

I have no fucking clue,

And it’s making me rather spiteful.

Is it a warm feeling of belonging,

That doesn’t require sexualizing?

Maybe it’s something more erotic?

A craving for something frolic?

Or perhaps it’s a smile, a hug, or an inside joke?

Please believe me when I tell you,

I don’t think that love is one big hoax.

It’s just a concept I’ve sort of withdrew.

See, I believe that we can feel love every day.

It doesn’t have to be romantic,

And I don’t mean to sound pedantic,

But I hope I find it without delay.

Eckhart Tolle wrote in his book (The power of now) that one don't find love. One needs open a window for love to enter. I practice love all the time. When someone hurt me with words, if I'm awake, I mean, in myself and not in the ego mode, I look into my heart and bring love thowards the person. This creates a loving relationship with the other person hate and melts the hate. The problem is when I'm on the ego mode and then I feel hurt and want to hurt back. Then we create the opposite of love that is hate.

You are right, love does not have to be romantic, and you CAN feel it every day. (Well said by the way)
One of the best definitions of "love" I ever found is in the bible (you don't have to religious to enjoy it!)

    1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
