Twenty and six.

Stephen.Sapaugh

Now I am six and twenty,
And I now know close to nothing,
When you ask me a simple inquiry,
I respond with easy unquestioning,
But ask me friend about importance
And my eyes will blaze and spark,
Then my inner self that slept before
Will brag like an archer hitting his mark.

The older I get the more I know that I don't know anything!
I do like this poem a lot. Thank you.

My favorites are "easy unquestioning" and "brag like an archer hitting his mark".

I like that you were able to say alot in so few lines. SO true too!! I feel that the older I am getting the less I really know and can be sure about. I love how you used "easy inquestioning" like heather T
