PainKillers

Joaquin Finn

We walked a mile for suit trousers ,
But you asked me to come ,
I knew you were trying to figure out what was wrong ,
You got into it all about the army
And how it saved you life.

I pretended to be your boyfriend ,
To get you out a sticky situation .
Now I am wondering ,
If all along that was your intention.

It took three months and 6 cocktails before you would admit.
Love fell in the form of me.
I felt wrong .
Poor Green eyed man .
He didn't know you loved me .

Why didn't he come that night ?
I wouldn't have looked your way if he was there.
You came swooping in with with your charm and banter.
Now I'm shaking as I walk to work because it's one think to cheat ,
But other to fuck the manager .
