Unspoken Dream

David Grubb

The band plays ay fond kiss

My mind wanders in imagined bliss

A love is like a red red rose they sing

To echo my minds roaming

To thoughts of you I turn

To your love forever drawn

For the feel of you I yearn

And I dream until the dawn

The rising sun starts another day

The gentle dawn ends my dreams

For tonight I pray

Oh to be near you in reality not dreams

To walk you home at night

A stolen kiss to say goodbye

A loving smile in the moonlight

A knowing wink to make you coy

If I could but hold your hand

And next to you stand

Dreams of you would be real

Before you in love I kneel
