Ephemeral Flowers

Noveyre

Ephemeral flowers

whom in spring are quick to bloom

but wilt and fail in August,

how soon they are to gloom.

Unfortunate it is, that they will

easily decay

that something so sweet,

is gone the next day.

And petals turn to loam,

colors submit to memory,

at least this vase we have

to use for next year's planting.

flowers look good in every spectrum

This is short, sweet, tragic and heavy all at the same time. Well done.
