time and time again

mocuisle

Time

Hands run across the clock

It just doesn’t stop

Time

Seconds just hurtling past

Past

That’s part of time, like present and future

I should have realised sooner

Now its all too late

Late

I wasn’t on time again

My life’s tied to the clock all in chains

I never have any time

I write line after line

What have I got in store

What’s my purpose for

Seconds hurtling right beneath my feet

Minutes ticking to the beat

As time runs out tick tock

I watch it fly past me on the clock

All the things I should of done

Feels like the time spent was none

Should have spent more time with you

But back then I never knew

But there's no point looking at the past with resent

Now's the time so Start living in the present

mocuisle, you may not know how accurate your poem is, and so well written too!
Somehow, as I get older, it seems to me that time is just running away. So much to accomplish, and so little time left. And the last two-line stanza says it all.
    Very impressive and thoughtful writing!
