Slut

just a girl.

Slut.

That is what I and many girls called.

What is the actual meaning though?

Girls these days use it as if it was "hey" or "hi".

As if it was someone's name.

"Her shorts are above her knees, she's a slut."

"She has curves, she's a slut."

"She took a mirror picture, she's a slut."

"She hangs out with guys, she's a slut."

"She wears makeup, she must be a slut."

But, are we really?

Here is the actual meaning of "slut" according to wikipedia:
Slut is generally a term for a woman or girl who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sexually promiscuous.[1][2] It is usually used as an insult, sexual slur or offensive term of disparagement (slut shaming).[2][3] It originally meant "a dirty, slovenly woman",[2] and is rarely used to refer to men, generally requiring clarification by use of the terms male slut or man whore.[4][5]

I think it is great that you bring this up in a well written poem. And all the examples in your poem do NOT add up to the word "slut", so to answer your last line question: NO!
    No confusion here, justconfusedgirl πŸ™‚

In the manner you describe the use of the word it is i think a shortened version of "wow she looks too good doing that, i wish i could be like that, i wish my legs looked as nice etc."

I don't really know. I call a girl a slut when I know she's been in bed with at least three different guys in a week, and if I know her. A girl that cheats can be called a slut. But for dressing a certain way, or taking a photo in a mirror? Nah, I I don't think so.

I know what you mean. It is good that you pointed this out. People get aggressive sometimes just because they are jealous πŸ˜’for me no one should be called names. I have a question though: is slut and bitch the same thing? Better ask google. Thanks for your great writing.
