Paranoia

S.louise

Paranoia

It grasps your mind

With scenarios that dance in your head

Until your overpowered by thoughts

Like a whisper in your ear

Niggling away

Stealing reality for its false truths

Causing anxious bouts

Triggering false assumptions

Making you feel somewhat crazy

Like spiders running riot round your brain

Everything's a lie

You picture your made up story

Scene by scene

It's real to you

Like unwanted noise

Suffocating your brain

You try and release it

Still nothing adds up

You piece up fake evidence

When truth is there

Your heads fuzzy

Dizzy

Aches with confusion

It ruins you socially

Aswel as emotionally

This is paranoia.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Paranoia can ruin you. You can always feel like people are watching and judging. Creating things in your head what people think etc isn't healthy but not always your choice.

A very fine poem about a debilitating sickness. So well written, I started to feel as if I had it in my head too.
    You are a good writer.

Paranoia in moderation keeps you on your toes. Too much of it, and you lose your sense of self. Indeed. Good write, thanks.
