history is a story of the past
it must never be forgotten
the events are the books chapters
that describe the story of us
our time fills it pages
with memories good and bad
if no one recorded the past
our memories would be lost
the pages blank and missing
chapters incomplete and
the book itself useless
no book means no future
we learn from the pages
to create a better future.
for time is always moving forward
giving us hope for the future
we learn from the past
and look to the future
making each day
a brand new page and
giving our book many chapters
