When the anxiety hits?

CrissDavies

When the anxiety hits it's like your getting swallowed whole by every fear you have,

you start off thinking of your fears and then you are submerged in them.

And no, you are not only submerged in just one of them but all of them,

you find yourself wondering all these different things and never wanting to show your face again.

Lines of babies wait to see who gets chosen last for 'Dodge ball' and that child will be fed to the sharks while the rest watch in awe.

What if people laugh? what if I'm not enough? there are bullies out there thriving on a minor population of stone-faced people who, on the inside are crumbling. Do you think it's fair?

  • Comment from author about the poem: My aim for this poem was to capture what it is like to be bullied in school and to have anxiety- which is two things that are very close to me- also I tried to incorporate children into it as well. I hope you enjoy.
