Love\\\'s Hunger Needs

HEIDIKINS

The beast within me hungers

for what I desire most.

The rush of pure blood beating

from a warm, strong heart.

This pure liquid of the soul

is like madness to me.

It ignites the passion within

beyond any world or sea.

The beast within

subdued for so long,

Released by the song

of you lips from afar.

I am alive, heart pumping,

pulse racing.

The breathes of my soul

igniting the flame.

Your scent is like a drug

that cannot be denied.

You are the hunted,

the hunger I have craved.

Stars cannot alter

the path of our fate.

Like the story of fair Juliet

and her Romeo.

The moon rules the starts

and you release me.

From the bonds of thirsty lips

and starved body.

My thirst will be quenched

my hunger purged by your touch.

A sweet kiss from your lips; my beast subdued

happily upon lover's bliss.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is about the raw pure emotion that I found unexpectedly and have now known it to be that of my twin flame. The intensity of emotions both spiritually and physically was like nothing I had ever felt before in my life. There really are no words that can describe this relationship. It is all encompassing on every level. But I found myself hungry for that pure love. It also opened my eyes to the false loves that we often create for ourselves for various reasons. If you are able to open your eyes, your heart, your soul...look for pure love. It is the most amazing, liberating and wonderful feeling you can ever experience.
