You love me.
I carry your declaration freely
Travel with it down dark hallways
Let it pull back shades in darkened rooms
Blind my mind with its pervading light
Expose all dust.
I place it on the nearest shelf
Within arms’ reach
To be taken down often and read aloud
Words that will linger long after the last page is turned.

Rita, what a beautiful and imaginative way to look at love. I do like the line "let it pull back shades in darkened rooms", conjuring up the image of letting love into your heart.
You know, there are so many poems about love, and still there are new ways to express it. Great writing!
Thanks so much
