Silver Linings

rita_ehn

The sun comes out on a melancholy day

And does not know she is supposed to be grey

Not orange and warm and jovial.

It’s all about the blues, passing clouds politely publicize.

Her hues in glaring contrast,

She shamefully tries to hide behind their more sensible decor

But even the clouds in all their grey glory

Cannot conceal silver linings.

It's all about the blues. True that.
Very optimistic and profound wording. Well done.

Rita this is a lovely poem that goes well with the picture you posted. And it mirrors life beautifully; no matter how melancholy the day, there is always a silver lining. All we have to do is look.

This is lovely. Something so tender about the way you personified the sun.
