Spray

daisychain

Swirling, foaming waves of spray

Filled my senses with awe and wonder;

Sunlight danced on lazy stones and patterned seaweed nestled at my feet.

A tumultuous noise of surging waves

Completed a picture of peace.

      Welcome to the site Daisy,
      Living on an island with waves all around I must say you captured this magic moment perfectly.

        Thank you Fred. Wish I did live there (in Portland I mean)......a special place to me.....but no longer do I have a connection there.

            Daisy, am not sure I understood correctly. I live in Hawaii.

              I'm in the UK, and Portland is a small peninsula off the Dorset coast.

                So sorry, I guess I have to take up geography lessons again! When you wrote Portland I automatically assumed Portland, Oregon. But no matter what coast or even ocean we are looking at, your poem is exquisite!

                I love the dichotomy of "tumultuous" and "surging" completing the peace. Warm welcome!

                  Thank you so much Heather.
