bodies lie on the ground
there is not a living soul around
another epic battle fought
for reasons we know naught
both sides suffer
neither succeed
both sides bleed
many have died
all lost and at what cost
a war of greed
no one will concede
hatred between friends
does this sadness ever end
bonds are broken
without one word spoken
brother fought brother
set against each other
in a war for our freedom
yet they never truely succeeded
brothers fathers and sons
leave home with their guns
lovers husbands and friends
never to be seen again

War nowadays is a disgusting boom time for the arms (and legs - sick) industry. And still we allow our children to be indoctrinated with war ethic by allowing computer console combat games into our homes. Is this the way forward?
Very deep. War is a horrible thing that takes away loved ones through death and survival. This is wonderfully expressed.
A pen warrior you are, there are so many on this site. Thank you all I'll share something you made play in my head from a guy call nahko bear;
So we burn a little sage and write poetry
Wiser than the enemy will ever be
The minority
And authority
Are you here to protect or arrest me?
I can’t tolerate the hate, and I'm losing sleep
Can’t breathe, cause they’re choking out a war in me
Immorality
Hope you didn't mind, this was great thank you again for this piece of art.
So powerful, I love it.
