Dead Seas (by eddy styx)

"Dead Seas"

mindless coupling
groping in the dark,
begins the suffering
doth strand the heart,
in pathos play.
frantic echoes
ensnare, entangle, enmesh
BEWARE
players of games,
become the games they play!

*eddy styx is my Male, murderous alter-ego who writes dark poetry!

Ah, nice little twist that happens to be very true. I do not like players much. Peoples feelings are not things to trifle with in my opinion. A wonderful message in this poem. Which makes it a marvelous poem indeed

I hate game players, too. most of my blood family are of that ilk! thanks for reading and comment.

We've all met the game players, haven't we! This poem is a finely stated warning of them. Well done, Cat.

most things are a mystery to me too... like why do people act the way that they do?

eddy you've come thru again with your open, honest and, straight forward truth! game players are only out for themselves and their self satisfaction! your love your ending...ties it all up in a neat little 'bow'...though i can't see you with a bow unless it's the kind that needs and arrow to go with! :)

                            • Candlewitch

                              hello val,

you know from personal experience about being played by those nasty little games. game-players are true sh!t-heads... deserving of a slap up-side the head with a ton of bricks!

                                Dearest Cat & greetings eddy,

as you already know this is my favourite poem of all time by any poet.

I don't know what it is about this poem; maybe it's because I am so drawn into the world of eddy styx that I feel this encapsulates the whole ethos that is styx.

I can feel this poem & live & breathe it & as for this: "players of games,
become the games they play!" that is outstanding.

I can't begin to tell you how much this poem excites & thrills me.

I have even written a short story & the main character quotes this very poem within the story.

I could go on but I won't I shall just read it again!

                                  dear Bro,

I know of your fondness of this poem...I posted it for your reading enjoyment :) we both have personal knowledge of "game-players" and the destruction that they cause. wouldn't it be great to be a fly on the wall when they get the payback?!! you can't buy that kind of satisfaction!!!

btw...I really enjoyed your poem; "Dragon" I ate it up! and marked it as favorite :)

                                  love, Sis
