Delta Vein

Noveyre

Blue veins sprawling like deltas

across the gulf of the arm

red blood and ocean brine

flowing all the same

And the heart is in the mountains

melting blood into water

through creeks and arteries

all the way to the ocean

Trickling down this way,

keeps the land alive

invigorates an earthly skin

and all the trees in kind

Ever heard of a place personified?

that it's breathing and heaving

and growing like a human

just like you and I?
