Five more minutes

S.louise

Im crying out to you for help

You have to go

You have chores

I took five minutes of your time

It was too much

You couldn't stay and talk

For your busy life of game of thrones

Or washing pots

Couldn't wait five minutes more

I cried the day felt hard

Not just today but also yesterday

I bellowed out I need you now

But crying out I need you

Should I have to ask you to stay?

I tried a joke to keep you on call

Just so I had someone to talk

I really have to go

I really cant stay

Im really busy is all you could say

But what if "im busy" where the last words you say?

What if later or tomorrow was to late?

Would busy hit your vocabulary then?

I hope im strong enough to pull through

I may cry out for help today

And hope you would talk that bit more

Make me feel less alone

Talk through my day just five minutes more

But just know One day you might need me

And I will make sure

That im not you

I will never be too busy for you

And if by chance you need five minutes more

Just know I will give you that and more

I love this, treasure every moment 'til you die, every minute with those you love and every conversation with those you care about. You can cause some serious pain if not

I love your poem! It is full of emotion and strength. Often we spend more time with folks who would not spent a minute with us, and if they do, you know need to go. Treasuring each other is vital isn't it.
