Fading

whisperingquill

Hovering a mystic shroud
drapes methodically over
the cleft of her breast,

synapses intertwined
with dancing jesters.

She is a torniquet of
frivolous hope,

scarred eyes and
omniscient reluctance
is my fool on a steed;

crescendo between
the fabrication of this
heartfelt equation.

Who am I to suggest
she's a keeper who here
can regress to the
world of lonely nights?

A blanket of castles form
the boundaries of my walls;

my moat is paradoxical with
chivalry as acid water.

Carry obsidian crosses
to cultivate into blooming
forget me nots.

A pale hued panther
is my final defense,
this warrior poet,

never knowing
amours commence.

Fading,

fading,

gravitating to this
unknown prism;

a fear pulsates the childlike
anarchy of my ventricle;

sacred are the few who
captures the quintessence of one.

Fading, fading into the
heart of a winter sun.
