To be a Poet...

hboo

To be a poet... you must spill your emotions as if you are a fine Dom Perignon cascading into a glimmering champagne glass. Aged like your thoughts, sealed inside a bottle similar to your mind. You sit and brew until the result is something magnificent.

To be a poet... Means you have no fear, for your pain will be put on display for the world to hear.

To be a poet... Means you must articulate your words, similar to the way the sun sets along Ventura Beach. You must spill sentences that are beautiful and intense no matter the circumstance.

To be a poet... means your mind is a very rare find.

Beautiful imagery. I like this one a lot. Especially the bit about no fear and putting your pain on display. Great piece

I loved to read your poem. For me to be a poet is translate your feelings into words and play with them. Exaggerate on the pain, on the beauty, on everything. Or just let your thoughts unwind and race them free.
