Someone Else

DyingDreams

I believed I deserved the thing I found

I searched so long and even followed the sound

What I unearthed, I deemed as mine

I even believed...I'd get it to shine

I thought that I found the diamond in coal

Turns out all I did was discover a hole

You were meant for someone who did not bear my name

I merely ignited anothers dead flame

It seems as though I was a step to your bliss

And a place to leave words I'll always reminisce

How foolish of me to think I found love

Hilarious even, From perspectives above

My life is a toy for the shadows to play

Give me a reason, just to take it away

Give me a life meant to die and decay

Give me a hope that was never to stay
