Aging

Chubby cheeks, sippy cups, and shopping cart rides
Lessen as each day skedaddles by
Instead of dainty slippers on my feet
I troop out the door in worker boots
Replacing the astronaut helmet on my head
Are dark sunglasses to block the sun
I once dreamed of reaching

  • Comment from author about the poem: I've been stuck inside for a couple day cuz I burned the bottoms of my feet and I really want to go outside and take a walk. Meh. Anyway what do you think, comment any criticism you have
