The thing they don't tell you about love is how much it hurts when it's gone. No it's not always mascara running down your face , ice cream quarts filling up your trash can, and mom holding you in her arms telling you it'll be ok. When It's gone that's exactly what it is, gone. You gave everything and now you gotta act like you're completely fine. There is no mom to hold you in her arms but there is a mom who didn't even know you knew what love was. So she didn't know to even buy you ice cream to eat away the pain and that same mom well she doesn't even let wear makeup. And that guy you wasted all your time on well he can't even confess his feelings back to you so what's the point. Why'd you have anxiety attacks over someone who will always stay silent and leave you feeling like you fucked up every time you texted him? He left you on seen one too many times and made you feel so stupid. So tell me why him? You're perfect and you fall for someone who doesn't even cherish that. Why would you have real feelings for that guy you thought was so perfect but really all he could do was stare/flirt then left you feeling like you fucked up? Guess what babe... he was the one that fucked up not you. He waited til last minute and didn't take the chance. He lied even when he had the opportunity to get those feelings off his chest. It could've gone somewhere and it would've been something if he just said so. Now that same person who have you unexplainable butterflies is the same person that is leaving you all alone to pick yourself up. The pain is different when you lose someone who isn't dead. They were so important one day and the next it's like you never even met. That person continues living life without you and barely acknowledging you exist. It's like they're throwing a party on their side of the wall and on the other side there you are breaking down in tears. Well ladies and gentlemen that's exactly what happens when you fall in 'Love'.

- Comment from author about the poem: I had something with a guy we fell for each other and times was running out. In the end he never said anything even though I did and now acts like I don't exist. We had so much going and he just threw it away. I knew it was going to end that way but he had me fooled. So I wrote this to let what I felt out.

Beautiful poem, something in which I could totally understand and connect with.
I love the fact that you don't worry about conventions and just write from your heart.
Keep moving forward x
Thank you that means a lot 🙂
