Undeserved Repose

charlesbarrett

A love previously unknown to me
Has been upon my broken soul bestowed.
Restored unto thine own heart graciously,
Thou gavest me thine undeserved repose

The Son of God won vic’try o’er the grave
And sin and death have long since lost their sting.
Rejoice, my soul! Your debts have been repaid
By Christ, the taker of my suffering.

My soul! Lift up to God thy song of praise!
Who stooped to save a sinner such as I.
And clothed me in His unrelenting grace
Forever at His table to abide.

Thou saved this chief of sinners such as me
Now marked as yours for all eternity.
