Candlewitch

Moon Spinner

  Moon Spinner

shadows dancing

in the muted hues

of the fading afternoon,

as evening slowly emerges

from its silken cocoon.

like some spectacular creature

shedding its skin,

sun gives way to moon's silver rays

as the cycle begins once again.

and the darkness unfolds

a heavenly canvas,

in the moon's clouds.

flickering reflected light,

stored in magic

both gray and white!

Beautifully written. The imagery was gorgeous. It was nice to read about the beauty of night time instead of the beauty of the morning that I typically read (and write). A welcome change for me. Thank you for sharing.

and, thank you charles, for telling me what you think 🙂

The way you paint the page with words Cat, you must have been a painter in an earlier lifetime, and I don't mean house painters!

Your images are perfectly created with your choice of wording! I find myself at times mesmerized by the sky as sunset sets in. It's amazing how beautiful, peaceful and serene that time of day can be! The saying 'stop and smell the roses' should be joined by 'stop and view the sunset!' 🙂

                              • Candlewitch

                                dear val,

sunsets are like snowflakes...no two are exactly the same 🙂 and all are a work of art! 🙂

                                *hugs, Cat

                                • valene

Totally agree! both are pretty damn cool!
